Social connection and learning will be promoted by a facilitator providing discussion opportunities for the participants, through prompts, conversation and chat messages. What apparel do you have that is handed down from earlier generations? You might be surprised how much you have and what it can tell you. You may have an heirloom christening gown, a debutante gown, an aunt's belt, a father's dancing pumps, a grandfather's gym shorts, or your grandmother's unmentionables. What does your item add to your family history? Who made it and who wore it? Where and when was it worn? Does it help you describe your ancestor? Are there any photos of it?
Do you have a photo with clothing that tells a story? Maybe a black armband, or a tennis outfit. This will be an opportunity for you to share items from your collection that enthuse you. This event will be held at 10 am Queensland, Australia time (AEST, no daylight saving. +10 GMT)
