Members Lounge Socials

The Members Lounge Socials are a wonderful opportunity for members to enjoy off-site activities together and provide a good break from the ‘work’ of research. We welcome you to bring your friends along. Eventbrite allows you to add multiple people against one booking.  Dedicated volunteers organise and deliver in-person activities that often include excursions to an interesting location.

IMPORTANT CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS

• To ensure that we don’t advertise a film or other activity in the Members Lounge only to have our members turn up to the event and discover that the activity is sold out, we will purchase a block of tickets at the best available price. 

• For films and other activities where the price is dependent on numbers attending and where we have purchased tickets in advance, there will be no refunds.

• We understand that even the best-laid plans can go awry but, unfortunately, we do not have the volunteer capacity to manage refunds.
  
  
• If you buy a ticket and then discover that you cannot attend the event, it is your responsibility to find someone else to use your ticket.

There can be no exceptions. Generally, this condition will be applicable only to films and it will be clearly stated on the Eventbrite booking page so that there are no surprises.
