Members Lounge - Social - Visit to Miegunyah House Museum, Bowen Hills
Miegunyah House Museum is the home of The Queensland Women's Historical Association and is dedicated to sharing the colonial history of Brisbane and Queensland. They are open to the public for guided tours of their heritage listed house and offer Devonshire Teas on the verandah. Tours are available on Wednesdays at 1pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 2.30pm. Bookings are essential.
Miegunyah is a heritage-listed detached house at 35 Jordan Terrace, Bowen Hills, Queensland, Australia. It was built c. 1885. It was also known as Beverley Wood. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992. See Wikipedia.
We are planning to go to the Sunday guided tour at 2.30 pm. We can order our Devonshire Tea before the Tour, or after.
Admission: House museum entry and tour $15.00. Please pay at the door.
Devonshire Tea $15.00. If you would like your Devonshire Tea prior to the tour please arrive at least half an hour early.
