Family history or genealogical societies have at their foundation a motivation to assist people in researching their family history. Members of the Queensland Family History Society know of the benefits of belonging to this Society with its focus on Queensland, Australian, and worldwide records. Our Society has a proud record of providing services to our members through our Family History Research Centre, events including the new Members Lounge, Special Interest Groups, online records, publications and social activities. Perhaps you also belong to other family history societies, which focus on specialised areas, such as a particular state, county, country or specialist interest such as DNA or Quakers. We invite you to join us and share your experiences with family history societies. Chris Wright will faciliate this discussion. Please note. A "Talking About" session is a discussion group where everyone is given the opportunity to contribute by sharing their knowledge and experience, asking questions and/or giving opinions and answers. It is not a presentation. It is open to all levels of experience; no question is too silly to ask. As these sessions have a limited number of tickets to ensure everyone gets their chance to participate in the discussion, if you are booked and realise you are now unable to attend, please advise us so we can reallocate your ticket to someone on the waitlist.
