Surnames

Where did surnames come from?

What different types are there?

How can knowledge of surnames help you research your family history?

What resources and tools are available for your quest?

This presentation has a worldwide application but with a British/European focus. Examples include a look at where Daniel Ricciardo’s Italian surname origins might be, as well as discovering that Leggo is authentically Cornish (Gwiryon Kernewek).

Please note: This presentation will be available via Zoom or at the QFHS Library and Resource Centre, 58 Bellevue Avenue, Gaythorne. You may select on the day how you wish to attend, and you need not advise us of how you wish to attend.

Our speaker: Chris Schuetz

At this stage, Chris will be presenting at the Library and Resource Centre.
