Presenter: Susie Zada

Researching in Victoria: tips, tricks, and good advice

There are, of course, similarities between researching in different States and Territories in Australia but there are also many differences and unique resources. This presentation will look at a wide range of resources in a number of archives with extra emphasis on those available online.

Susie will address research of pre-European inhabitants, early settlement inhabitants, as well as those in the District of Port Phillip and the Colony of Victoria – pre and post Federation.  With more than 35 years’ experience in Family History and Local History research in Victoria, Susie will cover many topics and point you in the right direction for your research.
