As family historians we need to ensure that the information and stories we gather, and the conclusions that we draw are valid. Otherwise, our precious research is likely to be more fiction than fact.
This session will show you how the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS) can make your family history both trustworthy and longstanding.
You will learn about the cycle of research and reasoning used to arrive at conclusions, and the five components of the GPS that ensure our results are as reliable as possible.
You will see how each component can be applied to your family history research and how they can help you to have confidence in your outcomes.
