As a member of the Genealogical Society of Queensland (GSQ) she has filled a variety of roles including editor of the quarterly journal Generation, and convenor of the GSQ Writing Group.
She was joint editor of Queenslanders: Pioneer families 1859-1901, published by GSQ in 2009 and has authored many articles and blog posts. She has also developed and presented courses and conference papers on a wide variety of topics. Having completed a family history for her paternal line she is currently revising and updating the family history she wrote on her maternal line.
