Charlotte is a retired Customer Insights manager, past Vice President of QFHS, presently the convenor of the QFHS Welsh Interest Group,
Charlotte has degrees in science and management. She is presently undertaking the Society of Australian Genealogists' Diploma in Family Historical Studies.
Charlotte began her genealogical training with National Institute for Genealogical Studies (NIGS) in 2012. She has completed forty-six of the NIGS courses including methodology and skills, Australian, English and Welsh, Scottish, and Italian research.
In 2016 she completed the ProGen Study Groups program, working with the text Professional Genealogy edited by Elizabeth Shown-Mills. Also in 2016, she completed several courses with the University of Tasmania, including Convict Research. She undertook two Pharos short online courses: Scottish Research Online and Scottish beyond the OPRs and Researching Welsh Ancestors in 2026 and 2017. In 2018, she gained the Society of Australian Genealogists' Certificate. She has also completed, in 2019, the University of Strathclyde’s free online course, Genealogy: Researching Your Family Tree.
