Brodie Taylor currently holds the position of Curator (Arts and Exhibitions) at the University of Southern Queensland, one of Australia’s leading regional Universities. He maintains a number of volunteer and community-based leadership positions, including a National Executive Committee Member of the St John Ambulance Historical Society of Australia, and as the Grand Librarian of the Masonic Order in Queensland, with sole responsibility for the Masonic State Archive, Library and Museum currently housed at the Masonic Memorial Centre Brisbane.
He has been honoured throughout his career to be admitted to several professional bodies, including as an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, United Kingdom, Fellow of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and as a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars, City of London.
