The Australian Joint Copying Project is the culmination of the filming between 1948 and 1997 of Public Record Office documents (including Home Office, Colonial Office and War Office documents and other material from early Australian settlement) and items held in UK, Australian and other libraries.
Ann Swain's talk summarises the AJCP coverage and illustrates its use with two examples from Australia's convict era.
Her talk is especially timely as over the last three years the National Library of Australia has digitised its full collection of films and the documents can now be viewed online from home.
