There is plenty of off-street parking. While both our street address and postal address have changed, our phone number remains the same. Our new facility is ready; our Library Assistants have completed their orientation training. We look forward to seeing you all again.Chermside or Geebung? There can be some confusion as we are located in 7th Brigade Park which Brisbane City Council identifies as Chermside but our neighbours on the other side of Delaware St have addresses in Geebung. You will find us opposite 47 Delaware Street, Geebung and almost at the intersection of Waring Street and Delaware Street, Geebung. |

Talking about...Riding the Railways |
![]() |
Wednesday, 22 February 2023 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Let's go rocking rolling riding out along the bay, all bound for Morningtown many miles away! Join us to discuss when rail was Australia's premier form of long-distance travel and how it has impacted on our family history as a source of jobs, as a means of transport, or as a holiday experience. Join Lyndal Cosgrove to share and discuss railways. Don't overfill your virtual cup of tea or it will slop as we sway with the train. A 'Talking About' session is a discussion group where everyone is expected to contribute through sharing their knowledge and experience, through asking questions and/or giving opinions and answers. It is not a presentation. It is open to all levels of experience, no question is too silly to ask. Note: This event is held in QLD time, AEST: no daylight saving. (GMT+10) |

Call Out To Past Members |
To mark the 30th anniversary of the Caloundra Family History Research group in May this year, we are embarking on a project to record the group’s history. Our aim is to finish and present this important record at our anniversary celebration. To achieve our goal, Caloundra Family History Research needs your help. We are inviting former members of our group, or if you know of a former member, to please contact us so that we can record your reminiscences. We are happy to conduct interviews or we will accept written accounts of your memories. We have a rich history and we envisage showcasing our growth, activities, research, stories, library, special interest groups, and guest speakers. Stories from our past members would greatly enrich our 30th anniversary history book. |
