Our Library and Resource Centre is opening
with limited capacity
and reduced hours from Tuesday, 28 July 2020.

Bookings are now open.

You must let us know you are coming by emailing  visit@qfhs.org.au and advising:

  • the day of your visit
  • your name
  • member number, and
  • if you will use a computer or microform reader during your visit.

Please do not come if you feel unwell.

New hours

Tuesdays                10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Thursdays              12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Saturdays                1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

2nd and 3rd Monday of month

                                 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

We are following Queensland Government guidelines for a library.

The number of people able to be in the Library and Resource Centre at any one time is limited

Samford Road intersection improvements

The Department of Transport and Main Road is currently undertaking safety and traffic improvement works at key intersection along Samford Road, at Pickering Street, Glen Holm Street, and Osbourne Road.

The improvements at Pickering Street and Samford Road, Gaythorne, include removing the right-turn pocket into Pickering Street.

This change will affect our members and visitors who approach the Library and Resource Centre from the city direction along Samford Road.

Commonwealth Electoral Roll (Queensland)

The QFHS Publications team has indexed nine Queensland electoral rolls. This dataset allows you to  search across all of these rolls in a single search. 

The years are 1903, 1906, 1913, 1922, 1934, 1941, 1949, 1959, 1969
