New Members'
Welcome and Orientation.
Not-So-New
Members get Recycled... For several years QFHS has conducted "welcome"
sessions for new Society members. The aim of these sessions has been to
-
- make new members feel more at home
- help them find their way around our
considerable collection of resources, and
- identify important records by
knowing, for example, how to access our catalogue on computer, what the
GRD and the BIGR are, or why they should lodge their pedigree chart
ASAP.
We invite EVERYONE
to attend an orientation session, especially new members to the
Society. This includes members who have never attended one, no matter
when they joined, as well as members who have attended and wish to come
again. Sessions last about three hours.
