About QFHS: Formation, Aims and Affiliations Formation The Queensland Family History Society Incorporated (QFHS) was formed in Brisbane in 1979 as a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-political organisation. Our Aims to promote the study of family, and local history, genealogy, and heraldry, and encourage the collection and preservation of records relating to the history of Queensland families. Affiliations the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations Inc. (AFFHO) the Royal Historical Society of Queensland (RHSQ) the Council of Irish Genealogical Organisations (CIGO) History Queensland Inc. (HQ), and the Federation of Family History Societies (UK) (FFHS).
